The intersection of East Fourth Avenue and North 17th Street in Ybor City appears to be the future home of a brand-new restaurant concept. A recently submitted plan review shows a restaurant project called Pepper’s Island Restaurant opening on the intersection’s southeast corner, at 1701 E Fourth Ave.

Behind Pepper’s Island Restaurant LLC is owner Rodney Dhanraj. What Now reached out to Dhanraj on Thursday to ask for information on Pepper’s Island Restaurant. Dhanraj was not immediately available for comment.

The Fourth Avenue location sits alongside bicycle store Rayvolt/eXXite Tampa. Just west on Fourth, at the intersection with North 16th Avenue, are Avenida Suites and Nana’s Restaurant & Juice Bar. Other food and drink spots located nearby include El Puerto Restaurant & Grill and Jimmy’s Tacos.

We’re still waiting on more information pertaining the Pepper’s Island Restaurant, along with its menu offerings, seating capacity, and projected opening date. Until those details are revealed, we’ll just have to stay tuned. Keep an eye out, Ybor City!
