Located on the northwest corner of the intersection of South Broad Street and Cortez Blvd in Brooksville, South Plaza is a retail center housing business liked Bealls, Autozone, Winn-Dixie, and Get Healthy Brooksville. And according to plan review paperwork submitted by Tacos La Gringa LLC, it will soon be welcoming a new taco spot, too.

The submitted paperwork shows Tacos La Gringa opening at 1224 S Broad St.

What Now reached out to owner Kenneth Furca on Tuesday to ask about plans for Tacos La Gringa. Furca was not immediately available for comment.

This leaves us guessing, for the moment, about the restaurant’s projected opening timeline, as well as the details on its menu. Should we expect a purely taco-focused menu or will there be other dishes from Mexican cuisine as well? For now, we’ll have to wait and see.

(Stay tuned, though: What Now is awaiting an update.)

Launching in South Plaza, Tacos La Gringa would join restaurants like Red Mule Pub, Evergreen Chinese Food, and Breakfast Station.
