This summer, Ybor City will welcome Ocean Ink Raw Bar, a “fancy while approachable Oyster Bar in the heart of historic downtown Ybor City, FL.” It’s opening at 1632 E Seventh Ave, on the northwest corner of the intersection with North 17th Street.
“Fudi Hospitality Group, a chef driven team out of Charleston SC, lands a Tampa hot spot for fresh, local seafood,” says the Ocean Ink website. “Introducing Ocean Ink, an Indoor-Outdoor city spin on a Raw Bar. Located on the corner of 7th Avenue and N 17th Street in the historic Ybor City. Ocean Ink is one of several projects planned by the veteran hospitality group, bringing food and cocktail life to Ybor City, Tampa’s Historic District. Fudi Group specializes in historic building renovations, edgy emotional concepts, and locally inspired quality menus. Everything we love about Charleston can be developed right in our hometown of Tampa Bay, we see so many similarities moving forward.”
The menu hasn’t been posted yet, so we’ll have to keep an eye out for updates on Ocean Ink Raw Bar’s food and drink specifics.
“Two years in the making, @oceaninkraw is getting ready to announce an opening date!” the restaurant recently posted on its Instagram page.
What Now reached out to owner Ken Emery to ask about Ocean Ink’s rollout timeline. Emery was not immediately available for comment.
