Longtime Seminole mainstay Osaka Sushi & Thai closed its location on 13800 Park Blvd earlier this year. But fear not: the restaurant, which has served Thai and Japanese cuisine in Tampa Bay since 1999 will reopen again before long, this time in a brand new location. Osaka Sushi & Thai’s new home will be at 696 150th Ave. in Madeira Beach, according to a recent plan review.

What Now confirmed news of the move with a representative of the restaurant on Friday. The representative said guests could expect the same menu of Thai and sushi offerings in the new location, which does not yet have a set opening date.

Osaka has offered a variety of dishes from Thai cuisine, as well as sushi, with Specialty Sushi Rolls like the Pokie Salad (tuna mixed with our special sauce, sesame oil topped with seaweed salad and seed) and the Tammy (snow crab, scallion, fish egg, spicy mayo, avocado and cucumber topped with tuna).

The new Osaka Sushi & Thai location will open at Madeira Shopping Center, a plaza at the intersection of 150th Avenue and Duhme Road. Anchored by a Publix Super Market, Madeira Shopping Center is also home to Slyce Madeira Beach.
