Located at 516 Burns Court in Sarasota, Owen’s Fish Camp serves up fresh local seafood in a casual, relaxing atmosphere. The brand is now planning to open a second location, this time in Lakewood Ranch, at 6156 University Parkway, according to recent coverage by the Sarasota Herald-Tribune.

“It wouldn’t be called a fish camp if it weren’t bringing in the Bay’s local fish everyday,” reads the brand’s website. “Not only do we have fresh seafood, but accompanying Southern Classics with a great Craft Beer and Wine selection. Our friendly staff strives to match the delicious food with exceptional service to assure your visit to Owen’s Fish Camp is second to none.”

Owen’s Fish Camp’s current menu features Plates like Shrimp & Grits with Spicy Smoked Sausage; Seared Sea Scallops with Braised Pork, Owen’s Succotash & Grits; and Cornmeal Crusted Catfish with Spicy Collards, Grits & Brown Butter. Sandwiches include the Really Good Burger with Pimento Cheese; the Fried Chicken Sandwich with Bacon Jam, LT & Ranch; and the Crispy Fish with Lettuce, Tomato, and Tartar Sauce.

Also available is the Low Country Boil, which serves two and includes snow crab legs, shrimp, mussels, clams, Andouille sausage, potatoes, and corn.

What Now reached out on Monday to co-owner Paul Caragiulo. Caragiulo was not immediately available for comment on the upcoming expansion.
