Closed for repairs since Hurricane Milton, Sarasota Bradenton International Airport (SRQ) reopens today.
“The repairs to the terminal roof, which were necessary due to damage caused by Hurricane Milton, have been successfully completed,” says a message on the SRQ website. “The SRQ terminal will reopen to the public at 6 a.m. on Wednesday, October 16th, with commercial flights resuming at 9 a.m.”
Meanwhile, some additions appear to be in store for the SRQ dining roster. It currently houses—pre-security—Dewar’s Club House and Dunkin’, along with —post-security—Starbucks, Gulf Breeze Café, Beach Market Café, Dunkin’ Express, Kona Bar, and Jimmy Johns.
Now, plan review paperwork submitted by retail and dining operator Paradies Largardère shows two more concepts planned for the terminal: Suncoast Trading & Bar and Mattison’s City Grille.
Details on the launch of these two restaurant concepts at the airport are not yet available. What Now reached out on Monday to Claude Guillaume, Senior VP of Paradies Largardère’s Dining Division. Guillaume was not immediately available for comment.
