A popular fast-casual Mexican chain is set to expand in Bradenton.
QDOBA Mexican Eats, locally owned and operated by Pradeep Prashar, who runs three other locations in Florida, is set to open a new restaurant at 7227 FL-64 E, Suite 101.
“QDOBA is a growing brand. I’m very excited. This is my fourth location,” Prashar told What Now Tampa.
The site, located in a fast-growing section of Bradenton along State Road 64, features a combo-seat layout that allows for dine-in service. The opening represents another QDOBA expansion into high-traffic suburban corridors across Florida.
Like other QDOBA restaurants, the new location will feature a menu of high-quality ingredients, including freshly chopped vegetables, hand-smashed guacamole, house-pickled jalapeños, and flame-grilled steak.
Guests can also build their own meals from fresh ingredients, choosing proteins such as grilled adobo chicken, steak or plant-based Impossible protein, and pairing them with salsas, toppings and bases like cilantro-lime rice or cauliflower mash.
“Our philosophy is just about getting everything fresh and bringing flavor to the people’s life by offering them such a great menu,” Prashar said.
The eatery was named USA Today’s 10Best Readers’ Choice “Best Fast Casual Restaurant” for several consecutive years.
It was founded in 1995 in Denver as Zuma Fresh Mexican Grill. Two years later, it rebranded as Z-TECA, and after another two years, it became QDOBA Mexican Grill. In 2015, the chain updated its name to QDOBA Mexican Eats, keeping a nod to the original brand while modernizing its identity, according to the restaurant’s website.
QDOBA Mexican Eats has 832 locations across the United States, including five in the Tampa area. The new location will add to the region’s growing roster of restaurants.
The chain has not announced an official opening date but is expected to debut by next year. Prashar said two more locations are also in the works.
