Baton Rouge-based chicken chain Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers is expanding all over Florida. The chain recently opened its first location in the Greater Tampa area in Clearwater, at 2525 Gulf to Bay Blvd. According to recent coverage by Business Observer, there are several more Raising Cane’s locations planned for the area.
The Raising Cane’s menu features the brand’s mainstay chicken fingers, crinkle cut fries, Texas Toast, and coleslaw. These come in combos like the Box Combo, the Sandwich Combo, and the Caniac Combo, which packs in six chicken fingers, fries, coleslaw, Texas toast, a drink, and two ramekins of the brand’s signature Cane’s Sauce.
The brand, which began as a school assignment for which CEO Todd Graves received a failing grade (and which went on to prove his professor wrong), is about to grow at breakneck speed in the Sunshine State. The Business Observer coverage cites a Raising Cane’s spokesperson who said roughly 25 locations are planned for the state “between now and 2024.”
The planned locations include 10 in South Florida, 10 in the Orlando area, and 5 in the Greater Tampa area.
