“After 14 years on South Howard, Soho Saloon has officially closed its doors, effective immediately,” said a post published on Instagram by Tampa Latest this week. “In a statement released on social media, ownership thanked the Tampa community for more than a decade of packed nights, loyal customers, and unforgettable memories since opening in 2012.”
This bit of sad news shouldn’t get you down, however. The statement from Soho Saloon also revealed some more exciting (if still mysterious) news on the horizon.
“Now, the time has come for something new,” said the post by Soho Saloon. “As South Howard continues to evolve, we’re excited to bring Tampa another fresh, elevated hospitality concept… This rebrand represents a new chapter that is focused on delivering an even better atmosphere, stronger concept, and unforgettable nights in Soho. We also have exciting news coming soon regarding the former Deck Pizza / Side Piece space, so stay tuned.”
Behind these concepts is Michael Disser of Disser Hospitality Investment. Disser Hospitality Investment also operates Sunset Rodeo, the hit Nashville-vibed venue. What Now reached out to Disser on Friday to ask about these new restaurants replacing Soho Saloon and Deck Pizza / Side Piece. Disser could not be immediately reached for comment.
Further details on these upcoming new restaurants are not yet available. Soho Saloon was located at 410 S Howard Avenue. Deck Pizza was located at 2202 W Platt St.
