New local dining options are brewing at Sarasota Bradenton International Airport.

Coffee and ice cream shop Rise Up Cafe closed its downtown Sarasota location earlier this year, but it is one of several concepts expected to land at the airport in the coming months.

Rise Up Cafe, formerly called Rise & Nye’s, was founded by Beaver and Erin Shriver. Supported by the nonprofit Inclusion Revolution, the shop helps provide employment and opportunities to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

In addition to the upcoming airport location, Rise Up Cafe also offers catering services, serving ice cream, cookies, coffee and more at events.

The Sarasota Herald-Tribune reports that the airport’s new food-and-beverage options should be open by January 2025. The other additions: Mattison’s, Patrick’s 1481, Anna Maria Oyster Bar and Motorworks Brewery.
