Founded in 2021, Riveters Tampa is an eclectic bar and restaurant made in honor of the legendary Rosie the Riveter. Riveters brings together a strong sense of nostalgia and history with fresh-made eats in homage to “the significance of an era that transformed the role of women in society and the workplace.”
And soon, it’ll be doing so in St. Pete, at 330 First Avenue, in the space formerly occupied by The Avenue DTSP. Owner Andres Farfan told What Now that it’s working toward an opening there in Q1 2026.
“We focus on fresh quality food at a good value,” Farfan said. “Everything we buy at the restaurant is fresh. There’s no freezer. All the dressing and sauces are made in-house, and it’s all served in a nice, casual environment.”
That’s the first major piece of the puzzle; the second is the brand’s rootedness in the past. The vibes Riveters brings to the table are always eclectic, nostalgic—historic.
“Riveters is almost like a museum. When you walk in, you see a lot of original stuff World War II. And with St. Pete being as cultural and historic as it is, we think Riveter’s will fit in perfectly.”
The old Avenue space was also a perfect match, Farfan said, including an indoor-outdoor area similar to the one at Riveters Tampa.
“That was one of the reasons we looked at that spot. We wanted to be able to have a second location, in St. Pete, but we could never find the right venue. When The Avenue came open and I went and looked at it, I knew right away it was the right call.”
