Saucy (stylized as “Saucy!”), KFC’s new fast-casual tenders-and-sauces concept with “flavor that never plays it safe” is about to take Florida by storm. It has officially made its debut in the Tampa Bay area: January 26 saw the opening of the region’s first Saucy by KFC at 5706 W Waters Ave, the company announced this week.
“Known for its hand-crafted chicken tenders, mood-matching bites, and lineup of more than 12 bold, globally-inspired sauces, Saucy! is designed for guests who want to play with flavor,” says a press release announcing the opening. “Each restaurant delivers a modern, tech-forward experience, featuring drive-thru services, self-serve kiosks, and vibrant spaces built for customization, connection, and fun.”
Located on the southwest corner of Wavers Avenue and Benjamin Road, the new Saucy by KFC joins nearby restaurants like Wawa, Jazzy’s BBQ, and Los Compares, across Benjamin Road from the Country Inn & Suites by Radisson.
“At Saucy! by KFC, we’re focused on bringing the best-tasting chicken tenders and signature sauces to new guests through a high-energy, flavor-forward experience designed to invite exploration–and Tampa Bay is an exciting next step in that journey, starting in Waters!” Andrew Grosshans, General Manager at Saucy, said in the press release. “Our growth in the market reflects strong enthusiasm for the Saucy! experience and our commitment to expanding thoughtfully in communities where we can show up as a true neighborhood favorite, not just another restaurant. We’re excited to continue building momentum across the Tampa Bay region as we connect with new guests!”

- 12650 N. Dale Mabry Hwy., Tampa
- 5112 E. Fowler Ave., Tampa
- 3154 Disciple Lane, New Port Richey
Following a social media post by Tampa Latest, it was thought that expansion would bring five locations to the area. In fact, the press release reveals that a sixth location is planned for Bradenton.
The address for the Bradenton location has yet to be revealed.
