This spring, a new membership-based wine club will open in St. Petersburg, bringing wine education, actual wine (a key factor), coffee, and small bites to the space at 2531 Central Avenue. Called Savoir on Central, it’s a new project from sommelier Sharon Mahoney of Events by the Glass.

“Savoir On Central is currently under design to become an upscale charming membership wine club that will offer continuous wine education events,” says Savoir’s website. “Members will receive exclusive access to hand selected wine by renowned Sommelier Sharon Mahoney, premier access to all wine classes taught by local Sommeliers and first access to reserve space for your private groups.”

What Now reached out to Sharon Mahoney on Thursday to inquire about plans for the opening. Mahoney was not immediately available for comment.

“We will offer a carefully curated selection of gourmet coffee, delectable bites and selected exquisite wine that will also offer knowledge that you will receive in your monthly subscription,” says the website. “Immerse yourself in the  atmosphere and enjoy a moment of wine education, right in the heart of our community.”
