A new cocktail bar is opening in St. Petersburg. Dubbed Slim Charmer, the new bar is another project from the culinary team that brought Wild Child to the Grand Central District: Rob Reinsmith and Matt Kaye.

Opening next to Wild Child, Slim Charmer will be, as Rob Reinsmith told the Tampa Bay Times, “the opposite of neighboring Wild Child: where that restaurant excels with a bright, bold approach (lots of color, spice and acidity), the program at Slim Charmer will be much more toned down, with a sleek design, darker tones and ‘edgy, minimalistic’ décor.”

Opening in a space with a very small footprint, Slim Charmer is expected to change its menu week-to-week, featuring wine, tried-and-true cocktails, and small plates from the culinary imagination of chef Scott Grim.

What Now reached out to Rob Reinsmith on Wednesday to inquire about plans for the opening. Reinsmith said the location is still several months from launch and that no more information is yet being revealed.
