“From our family to yours,” said a post published on Facebook earlier this year by food truck Sunny Seoul Korean Kitchen. “We’re proud to serve up delicious meals made with love, using cherished family recipes. Every dish tells a story, and we’re so happy to share a piece of our culture with this amazing community. Grateful for every person we meet and every smile we see! Come visit us and be a part of our family!”

It looks like a lot more warm feelings are in store: the food truck is now preparing to open in its first permanent brick-and-mortar home. Sunny Seoul Korean Kitchen’s restaurant will open at 9750 FL-64 in Bradenton—in the very retail center where it had its food truck.

An update from last week shared progress on the renovations and said to stay tuned for an official opening date to be announced soon.

Featured items from the food truck’s menu included classics like Bibimbap, Korean Fried Chicken, and vegetarian Japchae. Kimbap varieties included Beef Bulgogi, Spicy Pork, Spicy Tuna, and Bulgogi Chicken. Details on the menu to be served at the restaurant haven’t been revealed yet.

Co-owner Katherine Kim could not be reached immediately for comment on Friday.

You can keep up with the opening by following Sunny Seoul Korean Kitchen on Facebook.
