The retail center taking shape within Halter Loop in Wesley Chapel looks to be getting yet another addition: the former Tampa sports bar, Tampa Joe’s.
The restaurant’s name came up in the news earlier this month when the Tampa Bay Business Journal reported on sushi restaurant Sushi Alive’s plans to open its second location in Tampa Joe’s former Westchase home at 9316 Anderson Road.
This week, however, What Now came across plan review paperwork that shows a new Tampa Joe’s in the works at 26951 Halter Loop in Wesley Chapel, where it would join upcoming restaurant and entertainment spots like Cinnaholic and The Clubhouse.
In its former Tampa home, Tampa Joe’s served up a menu featuring wings, pizzas, flatbreads, burgers, and sandwiches like the Tampa Joe’s Cuban and the Grouper Sandwich (Our grouper, lightly breaded & fried to crispy perfection. Served over shredded lettuce & tomato slices topped with tartar sauce on a toasted bun. For a little taste of New Orleans, add Cajun seasoning). It’s not yet known what changes can be expected at a Wesley Chapel location.
What Now is awaiting further details from owner Mike Goodwin, so stay tuned for an update!
