A brand-new spot for ice cream and coffee is preparing to open its doors in Parrish: The Cherry Ice Cream Shop, which will launch in the space at 8231 US-301, according to submitted plan review paperwork.
The US-301 location places this new ice cream shop in a building that also houses Butterfields Family Restaurant and Raven Pizza, making for a good stop for something sweet just after dinner.
What Now reached out to co-owner Edgar Bourgeot to ask about plans for the The Cherry’s launch. Bourgeot declined to comment on the opening at this time.
The Cherry would appear to be a change of direction for Bourgeot, who is also one of the entrepreneurs that brought Tampa Bay Botalon Grill, the Latin BBQ restaurant. Botalon offered a meat-heavy menu of offerings from Latin American cuisine in Brandon.
For the moment, we are left guessing as far the details of The Cherry’s menu offerings. But the restaurant’s name is descriptive enough—with both coffee and ice cream, we like where this is going.
