The District Pub, a fresh concept from “food travel experts” SSP America, which operates restaurants in airports throughout the United States, will replace Mission Pub at the St. Pete-Clearwater International Airport.
The District Pub will offer breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The breakfast menu will feature choices like the Classic American (two eggs, bacon or sausage, tots, and white or wheat toast) and the indulgent Donut French Toast (Donuts baked in vanilla custard topped with fresh blueberries and strawberries, drizzled with warm vanilla icing and choice of bacon or sausage patties).
Starters include Korean BBQ Wings, Loaded House Chips, and Buffalo Wings. A menu of Handhelds, served with house-made chips, offers a Beer Battered Grouper Sandwich, the Korean Chicken Sandwich, and the District Signature Burger. Mains include Fish & Chips and Strips & Chips.
“One interesting aspect of the project is that SSP has partnered with Keep Pinellas Beautiful, which is the local organization of Keep America Beautiful,” a representative told What Now on Monday. “KPB has a youth (high school aged) chapter. At an upcoming meeting, KPB will engage with a local artist to share their perspective on what Keeps Pinellas Beautiful. Their thoughts will be brought to life by the artist into a mural in the restaurant.”
The District Pub will open in a pre-security space that is open to the public.
