Three Oaks Hospitality has made a name for itself with restaurants and bars all over the Tampa area. There’s Bar Aw at Armature Works; Ciro’s (which is still closed in Tampa: “It’s not goodbye; it’s simply until we meet again”); Ro in Hyde Park; and others. Now, the hospitality group is at work developing its next new concept—which, according to recently filed plan review paperwork, will open at 2616 S MacDill Ave.
The paperwork, submitted by CBFS MacDill LLC, gives the name 1983, although at present the name is abbreviated to ’83 on the Three Oaks Hospitality website. Look down in that bottom right corner: ’83, Coming Soon.
What Now reached out to Three Oaks owner Frank Scalfaro on Thursday to ask about the upcoming new concept. Scalfaro declined to comment.
Details on the restaurant are therefore remaining under wraps for the time being, and given the eclectic nature of Three Oaks’ portfolio, anything is possible. After all, Three Oaks has served up everything from barbecue (Butcher n’ Barbecue), sushi (Ro), bagels (Sesame), pizza (The Fold), and the list goes on.
One thing is for sure, though; it will be a place that’s focused on enhancing local neighborhoods and communities.
“We create spaces that cultivate our local neighborhoods – they aren’t just restaurants and bars – but rather gathering places that foster meaningful interactions and conversations,” says the Three Oaks website. “Each space is defined by its own structure and location, giving locals and visitors a refined yet relaxed experience. You can expect above-and-beyond service filled with elements of serendipity and, most importantly, a sense of place within each location. Our innovative menus and handcrafted cocktails are built with you in mind.”
