Founded in Taichung, Taiwan in 2017, boba tea chain Tiger Sugar has expanded incredibly fast, with locations in China, Singapore, Korea, Malaysia, Thailand, the Philippines, and Canada—plus more than 55 locations so far in the United States. The chain already has two locations in the Miami market, where it’s at work on a third.
Tiger Sugar is also planning a location for Tampa, Brian, the franchisee behind Florida’s Tiger Sugar locations, told What Now Miami on Tuesday. There’s another location also in the works in Orlando, as Tiger Sugar builds its footprint in the Sunshine State.
Addresses for the Tampa and Orlando locations have not been released yet.
Florida’s Tiger Sugar locations have recently added boba drink flavors like Passion Fruit, Strawberry Mochi, and Taro Pudding. These are offered alongside signature varieties, including Black Sugar Boba + Pearl + Chocolate Malt Milk with Cream Mousse. There is also a popular selection of fruit teas.
“They say imitation is the best form of flattery,” says the Tiger Sugar website. “Many companies have tried to replicate our black sugar bubble tea, but our tried and proven methods stand the test of time.”
