With more than 1,450 locations nationwide, Tropical Smoothie Cafe is a major contender in the smoothie and healthy-lifestyle fast-casual space. As the brand’s growth continues all over the country, a new location is planned for Manatee County, where submitted plan review documents show a Tropical Smoothie Cafe planned in the works at 8730 US-301, Unit 107, in Parrish.
What Now confirmed the news on Tuesday with franchise Daniel Beaulieu, who said the opening is still some months off.
“We’re looking at a July or August turnover,” said Beaulieu. “So probably opening by the end of the year.”
Currently featured items from the Tropical Smoothie Cafe menu include the Dragon Fruit Bowl (dragon fruit base, fresh pineapple, mango, goji berries, coconut, chia seeds & honey drizzle), the Acai Bowl with Nutella (acai base, fresh strawberries, fresh blueberries, banana, coconut, granola, chia seeds, honey drizzle & NUTELLA® drizzle), and the Hawaiian BBQ Slider (smoked pulled pork, Hawaiian pineapple sauce, pickled red onion, slaw mix & mayo on a toasted King’s Hawaiian® slider bun).
That’s alongside a long list of healthy smoothies, and some more indulgent ones (e.g. Peanut Butter Cup). Guests can load up on nutrients with Super Veggie smoothies like the Detox Island Green (spinach, kale, mango, pineapple, banana & fresh ginger) and others, or go somewhere in between with Fruit Blends like the Blimey Limey, with strawberries, pineapple, orange juice, and lime.
The US-301 location is near the Creekside Commons and Parkwood Square shopping centers. They’re home to restaurants like Beef ‘O’ Brady’s, First Watch, Panera Bread, Jersey Mike’s Subs, and Pomegranate Frozen Yogurt.
