A new bar and restaurant is preparing to open its doors near the water in Tarpon Springs, by the intersection of Hill Street and Roosevelt Boulevard. Plan review paperwork submitted by Turtle Island Bar & Grill Inc shows restaurant by that name opening at 847 Roosevelt Blvd, the address of Turtle Cove Marina.

Behind Turtle Island Bar & Grill Inc is owner Brian Healey. What Now reached out to Healey on Friday to ask about plans for the new bar and restaurant. Healey confirmed news of the opening, which is expected for early fall.

Healey declined to share details on the restaurant’s menu at this time, however, which does leave us guessing on the details of Turtle Island’s food and drink program. Still, we’re promised a bar and a grill—that’s a start.

Opening in the Roosevelt Boulevard location, Turtle Island Bar & Grill joins a restaurant community that includes Rusty Bellies Waterfront Grill, Bayou Bistro, and Sweeties Ice Cream.

Stay tuned for more details as they become available.
