Winter Haven is about to get a boost with the arrival of a new neighborhood spot.
Kokomo’s, described as a “cafe and lounge,” is expected to open at 322 4th St. NW, featuring art and a selection of books.
“Your new neighborhood cafe coming soon!” the shop’s Facebook page reads.
According to business filings, the project is in the early stages of plan review and is listed as a “combo seat,” signaling the location will offer both dine-in and takeout service. While the name hints at a tropical or beach-inspired theme, additional branding and concept details have not been revealed.

Richard’s Fine Coffees is known for handcrafted lattes, teas and smoothies and live music. Cuppa Eden serves precision-brewed coffee, cold-pressed juices and locally sourced menu items. Haven Coffee Roasters offers single-origin beans, seasonal drinks and a behind-the-scenes look at roasting. Adding to the scene, Kokomo’s is generating local buzz.
