“Swig Dirty Soda, the TikTok-famous beverage shop, has made its debut in Tampa Bay,” said coverage published this week by That’s So Tampa. In fact, this debut has included two locations, both in Lutz: one at 25369 Sierra Center Blvd, and another at 19093 Wingshooter Wy.

“The openings have been great,” Shawn Larsen, one of the franchise partners behind the Lutz openings, told What Now on Friday. Describing what led the group to bring the Utah-born soda brand to the area, Larsen added, “Well, soda in general is well-liked product. There’s also being in the Coke Triangle, which runs from Florida to the Carolinas and over to Texas, which is probably the part of the country that likes it most. The weather is helpful for that. But really, as a franchise group, we have a history in Tampa. Several of us live here. We were really just bringing it home.”

And the project of bringing Swig home is now set to continue. The That’s So Tampa coverage mentions a location planned for St. Pete, but Larsen says that most likely next stop for the brand—barring construction delays—is Wesley Chapel, where a new Swig is planned at Curly Road and Overpass Road.

Home of the original Dirty Soda, Swig offers a wide range of drink choices, with Signature Sips ranging from Sour Patch Kids Blue Raspberry to dirty sodas like the Texas Tab (Dr. Pepper + Vanilla + Coconut Cream), The Founder (Diet Coke + SF Coconut + Fresh Lime + Coconut Cream), and the Shark Attack (Sprite + Lemonade + Blue Raspberry + Gummy Shark).

Larsen says Swig’s most popular products tend to be “anything with Dr. Pepper or Diet Coke. But a lot of people don’t know that we can do all kinds of things with sparkling water, combinations for people who don’t want the soda or who want less sugar. You can still get something refreshing.”

Larsen’s favorite item, for example, is the Unbreakable, with sparling water, grapefruit, mango puree, and fresh lemon.

No opening date has been announced yet for the Wesley Chapel location, but Larsen says construction has officially begun.
