Jimmy John’s, the Sandwich of Sandwiches, opens its newest Canadian location on December 17 at 299 King St West in Toronto. The restaurant is the latest addition to the brand’s growing presence across the Greater Toronto Area and marks the company’s seventh location in Ontario, 11th in Canada.
To celebrate the opening, the first 100 guests will receive a complimentary regular sandwich and a 16-oz drink. After the first 100 guests are served, guests can get a regular classic sandwich for five dollars until closing on December 17.
“Opening on King Street West allows us to serve one of the most active neighbourhoods in the country,” says Kim Slongo, director of operations at Foodtastic, the team leading the brand in Canada in a statement. “The area attracts workers, residents, students, and visitors throughout the day, which makes it a strong fit for a menu that focuses on fresh preparation, steady consistency, and quick service.”
The new restaurant is located near the heart of Toronto’s entertainment district, surrounded by offices, residential towers, theatres, and year-round foot traffic.
“This part of the city is full of life and people, and that’s what fuels Jimmy John’s and our company as a whole,” says Peter Mammas, President and CEO of Foodtastic, the private restaurant franchisor behind Jimmy John’s expansion in Canada. “Jimmy John’s delivers the goods in a fast and reliable way, which is sure to please our neighbours in this fast-paced and vibrant part of town. Reliability and freshness are two of the reasons why Jimmy John’s has become a favourite in cities across North America.”
The King Street West restaurant joins Jimmy John’s existing restaurants in Etobicoke and the broader GTA, forming a growing network stretching from Toronto to Vaughan, with more openings scheduled for early 2026. The location will offer Jimmy John’s full lineup of made-to-order sandwiches prepared with freshly sliced meats, cheeses, and vegetables.
