Bobby’s Burgers by Bobby Flay, a premium handcrafted burger concept co-founded by celebrity chef Bobby Flay, is set to expand into Canada through a 65-unit development agreement with The Falcon Capital Group.
The brand’s Canadian debut will be led by franchise executive and entrepreneur Jim Gormley, according to QSR Magazine. The deal includes plans for multiple markets, with initial efforts focused on securing a flagship location in downtown Toronto and exploring real estate across the Greater Toronto Area. The team is currently evaluating both traditional neighborhood footprints and high-traffic lifestyle centers. Although no official timeline has been shared, the rollout is expected to take place over several years.
“We’re delighted to introduce Bobby’s Burgers by Bobby Flay to Canada,” Gormley tells QSR Magazine. “The quality and flavor of Bobby’s menu are unmatched, and we’re excited to bring this exceptional premium burger experience to Canadian consumers while also providing this unique franchise opportunity to Canadian entrepreneurs.”
This international move marks a milestone for the brand, which currently operates nine U.S. locations and has over a dozen more in various stages of development. The expansion reflects the company’s long-term growth strategy to increase both domestic and international reach.
“Expanding into Canada and becoming an international brand is a major milestone,” Flay tells QSR Magazine. “The Falcon Capital Group brings proven expertise in brand development and retail franchising that makes them the ideal partners to bring our signature handcrafted burgers, fries, and milkshakes to a new audience.”
“Partnering with Falcon Capital Group is an exciting step for Bobby’s Burgers,” Michael McGill, president of Bobby’s Burgers, tells QSR Magazine. “With Jim Gormley’s deep experience in the Canadian market, we’re confident that our unbeatable burger experience will thrive across the country.”
