Casa Donato, a forthcoming restaurant from Montreal’s Donato Group, is getting ready to make its debut in Toronto in 2025.

While the company has not yet shared an exact address or launch date, Casa Donato is one of several new projects listed on Donato Group’s official Instagram account. The Toronto-based concept is part of the group’s expansion outside Montreal and appears to be planned for sometime in 2025. According to the post, the restaurant will join a lineup of new openings, including Spuntino, D-Burger, Donato Gelato, and Mona.

Casa Donato follows the success of Donato Group’s first two restaurants: Ristorante Donato, a full-service Italian restaurant in NDG, and Sabrosa, a Latin-inspired venue located in the Old Port. Both locations opened in the past two years and continue to operate under regular hours, including brunch and late-night service. The group launched in 2023 and has since positioned itself as a multi-concept operator with an emphasis on casual and elevated dining formats.

Donato Group has not revealed many details about Casa Donato’s concept or menu. However, given the name and the company’s existing portfolio, it’s expected to reflect a Mediterranean or Italian focus. The company is currently hiring for front- and back-of-house roles across all locations, including new projects, according to its social media accounts.
