Debut Bar and Restaurant, a new nightlife and dining concept, is getting ready to open in Barrie at 10 Dunlop Street East in the city’s 5 Points downtown district.
The company’s debut location is set to launch in early October, with a soft opening happening soon, according to Restaurant Manager Brice Jacob. The new bar and restaurant replaces a previously vacant unit at a high-traffic intersection, aiming to deliver an elevated cocktail lounge experience. Guests can expect crafted cocktails, small plates, and a modern lounge atmosphere designed for evening socializing.
Jacob tells What Now Toronto that the team is putting the final touches on the venue ahead of its upcoming dry run this weekend. “We are doing our dry run this weekend and opening the end of the first week of October,” he tells What Now Toronto.
While the team has not disclosed further details on the food and drink program, Debut has been teasing its concept on social media as a high-energy venue focused on premium beverages, curated experiences, and nightlife appeal. The space is positioned as a destination for Barrie residents seeking a more upscale yet accessible evening venue.
Located in the heart of downtown Barrie, the 5 Points intersection is a key entertainment and commercial hub surrounded by bars, restaurants, and retail establishments. The opening of Debut is expected to add to the revitalization of the area, which has seen several new businesses open over the past year as part of the city’s broader downtown strategy.
“DEBUT represents the convergence of culinary artistry and atmospheric design. Our venue showcases a curated collection of cultural artifacts and architectural elements,” according to the company’s website. “Every detail has been meticulously crafted to provide our guests with a journey through taste, texture, and visual splendor.”
