FAMO Sandwich Creations, a gourmet sandwich shop known for its creative ingredient combinations, is getting ready to relocate to Toronto at Elm-Ledbury’s retail arcade, The Mews, near Queen and Church Streets.

The company’s new location follows the closure of its previous shop at 122 Sherbourne Street, as it transitions into a new space within Fitzrovia’s Elm-Ledbury development, according to Retail Insider. While an exact opening date has not been confirmed, the business is targeting a June 2026 debut. Customers can expect a return of FAMO’s rotating lineup of sandwiches made with seasonal ingredients and bold flavor pairings.

FAMO Sandwich Creations has built its identity around a menu that highlights unexpected ingredients and a nose-to-tail approach to cooking. Sandwiches range from braised beef tongue and lamb to beer-battered haddock and plant-based options like turmeric-glazed tofu. The menu also includes rotating specials, house-made slaws, and sides such as fries and soup.

Elm-Ledbury is a purpose-built rental development that includes two residential towers with 542 units, along with a pedestrian-focused retail arcade called The Mews. The space connects Mutual Street and Dalhousie Street and features cobblestone walkways, landscaping, and a European-style layout. The retail component focuses on smaller, independent businesses rather than large chain tenants.

The Mews is being curated to prioritize experiential retail that supports residents’ daily living while also drawing in the surrounding community. Leasing efforts have focused on food and beverage, fitness, and service-based concepts rather than on traditional tenants such as banks or pharmacies. Current and upcoming tenants include 10 DEAN, Bloomsbury Academy, Rendezvous Barbershop, and SOI Thaifoon, with FAMO joining the mix this summer.

This will be an excellent landing space for FAMO as it reintroduces its concept in a new setting designed for steady foot traffic and neighborhood use. With a focus on local ingredients and evolving menu items, the shop aims to offer a consistent but changing selection that reflects its original approach while fitting into the day-to-day rhythm of the Elm-Ledbury community.
