A brand new Florence-inspired eatery, Florin, is getting ready to debut soon in the heart of Toronto’s financial district at 80 Richmond St. W., in the Victory Building.
This is the latest from Turner Hospitality Group, the family-run team behind Mother Tongue, Liquid Courage, Twist, and Magnones, according to Toronto.com. Florin is expected to open sometime in Spring 2025, with the company tentatively hoping to launch by the end of May. Other than this concept being influenced by the culture and cuisine of Florence, not much is known about the new concept. What is known is that it will have high expectations, as Turner Hospitality Group always provides a passion for great food, craft beverages, and warm hospitality.
“Paying homage to the best trattorias in Florence, Florin brings a refined yet approachable dining experience to Toronto’s financial district,” general manager Shelby Turner said in a statement to Toronto.com. “The atmosphere at Florin reflects the signature warmth and hospitality found across all of Turner’s restaurants. Each of Turner’s restaurants has played a role in shaping Florin, influencing its design, details, and warm hospitality, and Florin enhances the group’s distinctive venues.”
Turner Hospitality Group, founded in 2007 by Bruce and Renee Turner, has become notable in the hospitality industry. Bruce serves as President, leading a team of over 150 across seven locations, while Renee, as Wine Director, oversees the wine program and mentors emerging leaders. The group’s establishments are celebrated for their unique dining experiences, reflecting the Turners’ dedication to quality and innovation. The group will continue its legacy of excellent eating establishments with Florin’s arrival.
