Freida’s Beverage Kitchen, a new restaurant concept from Service Inspired Restaurants (SIR Corp.), is set to open its doors in Barrie on October 1, 2025.
The new concept will introduce a fresh concept from the same company behind well-known Canadian brands, including Jack Astor’s, Scaddabush, and Reds. While exact details about the menu and design are still limited, Freida’s Beverage Kitchen is expected to offer a modern, beverage-forward dining experience. The concept was officially teased on SIR Corp.’s LinkedIn, generating anticipation ahead of its opening.
Headquartered in Ontario, Service Inspired Restaurants operates over 60 locations across seven different brands, employing more than 5,500 team members. The group is known for developing original dining experiences from the ground up, blending atmosphere, food, and service to create what it describes as “conceptual experiences.”
The opening of Freida’s in Barrie signals continued investment in the city’s growing food and beverage scene, particularly as national operators explore new markets outside of the Greater Toronto Area. Barrie has seen a wave of openings from both local independents and established restaurant groups in recent years.
Freida’s Beverage Kitchen is expected to reflect SIR Corp.’s commitment to innovation and hospitality, offering a curated food and drink experience designed to attract a broad range of guests. While no public menu has been shared yet, the name suggests a strong emphasis on creative beverages and casual dining.
SIR Corp. describes the launch as “an exciting new dining experience” and is encouraging guests to stay tuned for further announcements as the restaurant prepares for its official debut.
