Mandy’s Gourmet Salads, a Montreal-based salad restaurant brand, is getting ready to open a new location in Toronto at 359 Front St E.
The company’s fifth Toronto location is set to open on May 1, 2026, according to Insauga. Founded by sisters Mandy and Rebecca Wolfe, the brand continues its expansion with this new restaurant in the Distillery District. The opening also aligns with the launch of a seasonal spring menu.
Mandy’s began in 2004 as a small create-your-own salad bar inside a women’s clothing store in Montreal, according to the company’s website. With no prior experience in food or business, Mandy Wolfe developed the menu while Rebecca Wolfe handled the design. The concept quickly gained traction, allowing the brand to grow steadily over time. Today, Mandy’s operates multiple locations across Montreal, Toronto, and Ottawa, along with additional sites planned in Vancouver.
The new Toronto space will span approximately 1,900 square feet and feature several custom design elements. Insauga points out that the interior will include custom wallpaper, antique decor, restored city lamp posts, and a gallery wall of paintings. The space will also feature 30-foot ceilings and lighting installations created with Stray Dog Designs, along with fixtures by Tom Dixon. A 15-seat patio is planned for use during the warmer months.
The menu includes a range of signature salads such as the hoisin duck salad, peanut satay salad, and slammin’ salmon salad. Additional offerings include smoothies like Berry Açaí, Cherry D’amour, and Cookie Monster, as well as soups and breakfast items such as yogurt parfaits and chia pudding. Grain bowls and seasonal items are also part of the menu, offering a mix of plant-based and protein-focused options.
Mandy Wolfe continues to serve as Creative Food Director and chef, while Rebecca Wolfe leads design and brand marketing for all locations. The Distillery District is a busy destination for both residents and visitors, making it a natural fit for the brand’s casual dining approach. This will be an excellent landing space for Mandy’s as it continues to grow its presence in Toronto.
