Nutbar Superfood Cafe, the world’s first superfood cafe in Toronto, is ready to open a new location in Yorkville at 102 Bloor Street West.

The company’s sixth location is set to move into the former home of Sorry Coffee, according to Retail-Insider. The new nutbar will occupy a 1,280-square-foot space facing the Village of Yorkville Park, just steps from Barry’s Bootcamp. Kate Taylor Martin, nutritionist and founder of nutbar, tells What Now Toronto that this location is expected to open in mid-April 2025. When this location opens, customers can expect signature superfood smoothies, house-made organic nutmilks, and a variety of healthy bites and snacks.

“There’s a little bit of magic around that location,” Taylor Martin tells Retail-Insider. “I remember seeing the space before signing the lease and wondering, ‘What kind of business do you have to build to be in a prime Yorkville location?’ Securing the lease for that space feels incredibly special.”

Founded in 2016, the brand continues to challenge traditional fast-casual offerings by emphasizing quality and wellness. The plan to bring these healthy snacks to more parts of Toronto is already in progress, as nutbar recently opened its fifth location in Midtown Toronto at 2592 Yonge Street earlier this year. The company doesn’t plan to slow down now, as Kate Taylor Martin wants to continue pushing this brand throughout Toronto with more sites.

“I do have long-term plans to expand further out in the GTA and even throughout Canada,” Taylor Martin tells Retail-Insider. “However, my priority is to remain present in Toronto and ensure that each location embodies our mission and values. We set out with a mission to challenge the status quo of on-the-go food by offering a menu that is both delicious and truly nourishing. Our focus has always been on using 100% organic ingredients to create products that make our customers feel good.”
