Pho Anh Vu, a local Vietnamese restaurant known for its authentic regional dishes, is getting ready to open two new locations within Ontario, including one in Scarborough and another in Mississauga.
The restaurant, owned and operated by Michael and Hana Vu, is getting ready to host a grand opening on Saturday, May 31, for its newest location coming to Scarborough at 1-4733 Steeles Avenue East. Customers can expect the same authentic Vietnamese culinary experience, featuring a full spectrum of local flavors from various regions in Vietnam. After this, Pho Anh Vu is working on another location in Mississauga at 1482 Dundas St E, across the street from Dixie Decor Centre, according to a recent building report from the city of Mississauga. It’s unclear when this location will open.
The restaurant’s menu features popular dishes including Pho Vietnam, Bun Bo Hue, Bun Cha Hanoi, and Bun Cha Ca Hai Phong, all prepared daily with fresh ingredients to maintain quality and authenticity. The broths are carefully crafted to reflect the distinct flavors of their regions. Pho’s amber broth, for example, features a balanced spice mix. Pho Anh Vu locations typically offer both indoor and outdoor dining spaces, along with ample parking, making it ideal for accommodating families and larger groups.
Established in 2019 in North York, Pho Anh Vu has since expanded to multiple locations across Canada, including Vancouver, Richmond, Don Mills, downtown Toronto, Waterloo, Montréal, Yorkdale, Richmond Hill, Hamilton, Vaughan, and Newmarket. The family recipes and traditional tastes have gained a strong following, particularly within the Vietnamese community in Canada. The restaurant also adheres to strict health and safety protocols, including regular disinfection, the mandatory use of facemasks, and social distancing measures to protect both staff and guests.
