Pizzeria Libretto, a Toronto-based Neapolitan pizza restaurant, is rebranding its original location in Toronto at 221 Ossington Avenue.

The company’s original Ossington restaurant will officially transition to Bar Libretto on Friday, February 20, 2026, according to BlogTO. Co-founder and executive chef Rocco Agostino is leading the shift, describing it as a new chapter for the brand. The concept will move from a full-service pizzeria to a bar-focused model with a pared-down menu that still features pizza. Customers can expect a stronger emphasis on late-night dining, an expanded cocktail program, and daily happy hours running from 4 to 6 p.m. and 9 to 11 p.m.

Founded in 2008 on Ossington, Pizzeria Libretto helped introduce Neapolitan-style pizza to Toronto’s dining scene. The restaurant quickly gained recognition for its wood-fired pies and traditional approach, contributing to the growing popularity of the style across the city. Over the years, the business expanded beyond its original address, opening multiple additional locations. The Ossington restaurant, however, has remained central to the brand’s identity.

The rebrand reflects changes in the surrounding neighbourhood and its evolving nightlife. The updated concept is designed to better align with Ossington’s current rhythm, particularly its late-night activity. In addition to a revised food menu, Bar Libretto will feature DJs on Friday and Saturday nights, reinforcing the shift toward an evening-driven experience.

While the menu will be streamlined, pizza will remain a core offering, alongside select dishes suited to a bar setting. The beverage program will place greater focus on cocktails and classic drinks, complementing the late-night format.

This marks a significant moment for the original 221 Ossington Ave address, signaling an evolution rather than a departure. By maintaining pizza while expanding its bar and nightlife elements, Bar Libretto represents a strategic shift for a space that has been part of Toronto’s dining landscape for nearly two decades.
