RBC Amphitheatre, a reimagined version of Toronto’s beloved waterfront amphitheatre, is getting ready to transform into a year-round live music venue at 909 Lake Shore Boulevard West in Toronto.

The iconic venue, formerly known as Budweiser Stage, has entered a multi-year partnership with Live Nation Canada and RBC, according to a press release. Effective immediately, the venue will carry the RBC Amphitheatre name, with redevelopment plans set for completion by 2030. The project aims to deliver an expanded fan experience that highlights new food and beverage offerings, upgraded hospitality areas, and enhanced accessibility throughout the site.

A key part of the redesign focuses on expanding and modernizing the amphitheatre’s food and beverage options. Fans can expect more concession areas and service points, improved crowd flow, and new hospitality spaces designed for both casual and premium experiences. The addition of a lookout deck with elevator access to the lawn will further enhance the venue’s social spaces. At the same time, the open-lawn seating and skyline views that have defined the amphitheatre will remain central to its appeal.

“As a champion of the music industry across Canada, RBC is an incredible partner for us,” said Michael Rapino, President and Chief Executive Officer, Live Nation Entertainment. “The redevelopment of RBC Amphitheatre, formerly Budweiser Stage, strengthens Toronto’s position as a global entertainment hub and a must-play city for artists who are touring. With these changes, RBC Amphitheatre will become a world-class venue with unmatched acoustics, fan-friendly design, and elevated hospitality experiences.”

Inspired by fan feedback, the redevelopment will preserve the venue’s iconic atmosphere while introducing contemporary amenities that align with Toronto’s growing demand for high-quality, diverse food and drink experiences at major entertainment venues. The expansion is expected to significantly increase annual attendance, with more than 1.5 million fans projected to attend once the upgrades are complete.

Through its RBCxMusic platform, the amphitheatre will continue to showcase the bank’s support for artists and live music culture across Canada. Attendees will also gain access to RBC fan activation spaces, featuring ticket upgrades, giveaways, and special offers. In addition to RBC’s Concert Cash offer, RBC and Live Nation announced that in 2026, Avion Rewards members will be able to use Avion points to pay for tickets to any Live Nation Canada show on Ticketmaster.ca or the Ticketmaster Canada app, with more details to come.

“Canada exports incredible musical talent to the world, and that starts with the artists and fans who make our live music scene thrive,” said Dave McKay, President and Chief Executive Officer, RBC. “With this partnership, RBC Amphitheatre will attract even more top performers to this beloved venue and bring fans exceptional new music and entertainment experiences. We’re also proud to invest in a live music destination that will create hundreds of new jobs, draw in thousands more visitors, and help boost local businesses across the region.”
