Region, the Toronto-based restaurant known for its globally inspired cuisine and elevated casual dining experience, is expanding with two new locations coming soon to the Greater Toronto Area.
The upcoming restaurants will be located at 4216 Dundas Street West and 80 Merchants Wharf, according to the company’s website. No official opening dates have been confirmed yet, but both locations are expected to open their doors in the near future. Founded on the concept of “global flavors, local charm,” Region delivers a menu that combines internationally inspired dishes with fresh, locally sourced ingredients. The company currently operates from its flagship location at 475 Front Street East.
Led by Executive Chef Steve Silvestro, who brings over 20 years of industry experience and currently consults for some of Canada’s top restaurant groups, Region’s culinary offerings are both diverse and refined. The menu spans from charcuterie boards and globally influenced small plates like crispy shrimp cocktail, calamari, and chicken wings, to handcrafted flatbreads, hearty mains such as pepper-crusted grilled steak, grilled salmon, and a standout veggie Wellington. Lighter fare includes inventive salads, such as the roasted beet and apple or the greens & grains bowl. Diners can finish off their meals with decadent desserts like cheesecake trio, key lime pie, and a rich chocolate truffle cake.
Beyond the food, Region emphasizes hospitality and community, partnering with Canadian farmers, Ocean Wise, and sustainable meat programs. The restaurants also function as cultural spaces, supporting local artists, musicians, and creators. With its welcoming atmosphere and attention to quality and detail, Region is poised to become a go-to destination for both casual meals and special occasions in its new neighborhoods.
