Sizzlin Meats Inc., a Niagara Falls-based food truck known for its smoked BBQ and comfort food, is preparing to open its first brick-and-mortar location in Fort Erie, located at 1882 Garrison Road.
The new restaurant will be taking over the former home of Take 2 Restaurant & Bar, according to an announcement made on social media. Comments from the announcement suggest that the company expects to open the new location around August 1. Sizzlin Meats has built a loyal following in the Niagara Falls area for its slow-cooked BBQ meats, hearty pasta dishes, and homestyle sides. The transition to a permanent location will allow the team to serve customers year-round.
The menu is expected to remain similar to the food truck offerings, featuring popular items such as the Niagara Cheesesteak, brisket sandwiches, pulled pork, smoked chicken, beef and pork ribs, smash burgers, and chicken wings. Sides such as mac and cheese, fries, poutine, slaw, and corn will also be available, along with combo deals for individuals, families, and groups.
Sizzlin Meats Inc. was founded by a team of food enthusiasts who aim to bring traditional BBQ flavors to the local community. The company has been seasonally closed while preparing for the new restaurant launch. Located on a busy stretch of Garrison Road, the Fort Erie location is well-positioned to attract both loyal customers from the food truck days and new visitors. The area’s growing food scene and residential development make it a strategic spot for expansion.
“When something is meant to be, things will just line up,” the ownership team said with the announcement. “It’s looking like our restaurant will happen sooner than we thought. Our food truck location will also remain open for the rest of the season. Grateful for people like you—now it’s time to bring you a truly amazing experience.”
