Slowhand Pizza, a Toronto-based sourdough pizza restaurant known for its rectangular pies blending Italian, Detroit, and San Francisco styles, is getting ready to open a new location in Toronto at 8 Waterloo Terrace.
The company’s second location will open next month in the former home of Nava Coffee, according to Insauga. Co-owner Dan Ewing tells WhatNow Toronto that while an exact opening date has not been set, he and co-owner Brett Feeley are aiming for April 2026.
Customers can expect Slowhand’s signature light, airy sourdough pizzas, along with salads, dips, and a selection of beers, cider, and wine.
Slowhand Pizza first opened at 99 Pape Avenue and has become known for its slow-fermented sourdough, creative toppings, and a casual, welcoming atmosphere.
Expanding to the west end marks the brand’s first move outside its original neighbourhood. The 8 Waterloo Terrace location offers a strong west-end presence, giving Slowhand access to a busy, diverse local dining scene. The space will serve both pickup orders and fast local delivery, continuing the brand’s focus on customer convenience.
The menu will feature pizzas such as Peter Piper with whipped ricotta and hot honey, Pineapple Express with roasted pineapple and bacon, and Fungus Amongus with roasted mushrooms and Parmesan cream sauce. Slowhand also offers sides, dips, beverages including beer, cider, and wine, and branded merchandise like t-shirts and hats.
The new west-end location will bring Slowhand’s sourdough pizza and casual, community-focused approach to more customers in Toronto.
