Italian appliance brand SMEG is set to open its first Canadian showroom in Toronto this summer, located at 2 Bloor Street West, within the upscale Yorkville neighbourhood.
The new location will occupy a 2,900-square-foot space at the east end of the retail strip known as the “Mink Mile,” according to a press release. The flagship location will offer the full range of SMEG products for purchase. The Toronto showroom will also feature an in-store cafe on the main floor, serving artisanal beverages and refreshments. This cafe is the first of its kind globally for the brand. SMEG has previously collaborated with notable names, including Dolce & Gabbana, OVO, and Disney, as well as internationally recognized architects. The company has not yet announced an official opening date for the Toronto location. SMEG also plans to expand its Canadian presence with a showroom in Vancouver in the near future.
“We are thrilled to bring the first SMEG showroom to Canada, creating a space where design, innovation, and Italian craftsmanship come to life,” Gisela Mussen, General Manager of SMEG Canada, said in a press release. “This showroom marks a milestone for our expansion in Canada, and we look forward to connecting with the local community through curated experiences that celebrate our passion for innovation and quality. Yorkville’s vibrant and sophisticated atmosphere makes it the perfect home for our first Canadian showroom.”
