Tribeca Coffee Co., an independent cafe brand renowned for offering a “New York cafe experience” in the GTA, is set to open a new location in Mississauga at 285 Lakeshore Road East.

The company’s third location is set to move into the former home of Chou Chou Cheri, a lingerie boutique that relocated to Oakville in early 2025, according to YourCityWithin. Although an exact opening date has not been confirmed, preparations for the soft launch are currently underway, with construction progressing following recent permit approvals. Guests can expect Tribeca’s signature lineup of espresso drinks, teas, wellness beverages, pastries, and sandwiches.

Franchise owner Brynne Read is spearheading the Port Credit launch, while the original Oakville location remains under the ownership of founder David Despins. Read tells What Now Toronto that the team has been working to accelerate the buildout and is eager to open its doors as early as mid-September, pending final inspections.

Tribeca Coffee Co. opened its original location in Oakville’s downtown in 2016, followed by a second shop in downtown Burlington in 2023. The cafes have built a loyal following with their urban-inspired ambiance, house-made menu, and focus on quality coffee and community connections. The Port Credit store marks the brand’s first location in Mississauga.

The new Port Credit cafe will feature many of the same offerings found at the other locations, including specialty espresso-based drinks, rotating pastries, fresh sandwiches, and merchandise such as beans and brewing equipment. Tribeca’s Oakville location also features a Wallflower Doughnuts micro-bakery, although it has not yet been confirmed whether this addition will be available in Mississauga.

This will be an excellent location for the new Tribeca Coffee Co., considering Port Credit’s high foot traffic, proximity to the waterfront, and ongoing residential development that supports demand for walkable, community-driven retail and dining experiences.
