A cocktail bar that closed last year in Wicker Park is reopening in River North with a luxurious look.
Machine Cocktail Bar recently announced the business is reopening on May 13 at 213 W Institute Place. Their previous location was known for artistic cocktails themed to dishes, and this new bar will bring even more specialty cocktails.
“Join us May 13th for the grand opening of Machine – River North. A mix of a botanical refresh with blooming beauty,” said a recent Instagram post from the bar.
Owners Chireal Jordan and Brian Galati also operate Headquarters Beercade and Dearly Beloved in the Near North area. They opened Machine in Wicker Park in 2019, but had to close in July 2024, according to an article from Eater Chicago. Around the time of closing down, they revealed Dearly Beloved under their company Machine Hospitality.
On their website, many cocktails are displayed in a gallery, including The Bee’s Pajamas with Nelson’s Green Brier whiskey, cinnamon, seedlip spice, vanilla, lime and pineapple. They also utilize flowers as the theme of their drinks. Their last location had a food menu, but a menu has not been announced for the new spot. It was reported there will be smaller dishes and appetizers at the new location.
