Retail and restaurant operator Paradies Lagardère is at work on two new restaurant concepts at Jacksonville International Airport’s Concourse B. According to coverage by The Moodie Davitt Report, 2027 will see the launch of both Salt & Tide, a full-service restaurant and bar, and Pura Bean Coffee Co., a local coffee roaster.

“Evoking a relaxed coastal ambiance, Salt & Tide will offer breakfast, lunch and dinner alongside a robust bar programme,” the coverage says. “The menu features regional seafood, shareable plates and classic offerings, paired with craft cocktails, local brews and non-alcoholic options that reflect the spirit of Florida’s First Coast.”

Pura Bean Coffee Co., meanwhile, should already be familiar to any Jacksonville coffee lover. Offering blends like Bourbon Street, Los Volcanes, and Mojo, the small-batch artisan coffee roaster was founded by Crhis Dietrich, “on the principal of enjoying coffee and life,” the Pura Bean website says. “It all began after several excursions to Costa Rica where we fell in love with the local coffee and lifestyle. As raving fans we decided it would be fun to make our own coffee back home in Jacksonville, FL.  Using our daughter’s popcorn popper we began learning the craft of roasting and creating blends of coffee for friends and family.  Our obsession grew to roasting coffee for real in the back of our own shop, where we serve up specialty blends from all over the world and deliver to local retailers in our 1979 Orange VW Bus. To this day we continue the pursuit of providing you that perfect cup, so you slow down, drink coffee and enjoy life!”

In the JAX location, expect to find Pura Bean coffee and other drinks like tea and hot chocolate, along with baked goods and other grab-and-go items.

“Jacksonville has a strong culinary identity, and Salt & Tide and Pura Bean Coffee allow us to celebrate that local character while delivering the quality, consistency and service travellers expect,” Leigh Allan, Paradies Lagardère Senior Vice President of Operations – Dining Division, says in the Moodie Davitt Report coverage.

An opening is expected in 2027. In the meantime, you can keep up with Pura Bean Coffee news by following @purabeancoffee on Instagram.
