Moving into the San Marcos Center, at 591 Grand Ave., Hooked On Sushi will be adding a new spot in downtown San Marcos.

Taking over a former Noodles & Company, Hooked On Sushi will be located near Nothing Bundt Cakes, The Habit Burger Grill and Chick-Fil-A.

“It’s going to take us around three months to open,” Co-Owner Meesun Yoon said. “We’re going to do some cosmetic renovation and get new equipment.”

Owner and chef Brian Yoon has over 15 years experience as a chef and takes pride in having the freshest ingredients at an affordable price.

With a location in Fort Worth, Texas and two more in town, one in Carlsbad and the other in Encinitas, this new location will be no. 4 for Hooked On Sushi.

Yoon admitted they are also scouting for further expansion, possibly somewhere oceanside.

With a full menu, customers can get anything from Chicken Teriyaki bowls to Japanese Curry and a wide assortment of fresh sushi.
