After moving to a new spot on Mission Beach to begin the year, Intazza Coffee Mug & Grub is on the move once again.
Intazza Coffee President Brett Thomson said he will be opening at the bottom of a new 36-unit apartment complex this summer.
“They just started moving residents in and handed over the keys to a shell of a restaurant,” he explained. “We’re building it out right now.”
He said the new coffee shop was about three to four months out from opening.
“I’ve always liked Golden Hill,” Thomson said. “I play in a softball league there and wanted a spot to eat. The location opened up and really caught my eye.”
He felt being right off 30 Street and B Steet was a great location.
“There’s a lot of potential there,” Thomson added. “There’s a ton of residents in the area but not as much food and beverage option.
He said that with so much space, around 3,000-square-feet, he’s looking to bring in an expanded menu and is in talks to add a beer and wine license to the Golden Hill location.
