According to liquor licenses filed with the city, Crackheads plans to open a new location on South Coast Highway.

Owner James Markham hoped to open by the end of the summer.

Found in Carlsbad at 430 Carlsbad Village Drive, Crackheads was named one of 10 coolest recycled shipping container structures by The Travel Channel, which included a list of repurposed shipping containers being used as an industrial-chic food hall, coffee shops, beer gardens, more.

The breakfast and lunch spot includes a full bar, craft cocktails, bottomless mimosas on weekends, gourmet breakfast sandwiches, avocado toast, sliders, and more

Markham said he was still figuring out what the concept will be for the new restaurant.

“We’re definitely doing another shipping container concept,” he added.

Markham expected to have a better idea of what the plan will be by the end of the week.

It will be located on one of Oceanside’s busiest streets.
