The owners who brought us Havana Grill of Clairemont Mesa Blvd have plans to open a second restaurant, this time in Mission Valley. Co-founder and Chef Sandra Cardet and co-founder Alex Guevara, her son, hope to open their second Havana Grill, if everything goes as planned, by December 1st.
The food at Havana Grill is “inspired by a rich Cuban heritage,” and “aims to preserve a tradition of cultural innovation that has brought us music, poetry and of course great food,” says the restaurant’s Facebook page. A key component to note, is the restaurant’s insistence on using only the “purest and most natural ingredients we can find to create food that is not only delicious and flavorful but also good for you.”
At the Mission Hills Havana Grill, which will have front and back patio space, as well as a walk-up coffee window, you can expect even more variety.
“Even though it’s Havana Grill, [and] the core menu will stay the same, we are expanding the concept to include the full bar, the coffees, high-end desserts, and breakfast pastries,” Cardet told What Now San Diego.
“In the evening, at the bar, [patrons] will be able to order delicious tapas,” Cardet added.
Havana Grill will move into a 3,443 square-foot space, which is part of Westfield Mission Valley Shopping Center.
You won’t want to miss this opening. With her food, as Cadet says in a video featured on the restaurant’s website, “all your senses should be involved.”
