In the near future, you could find yourself dining bayside at Zytoun, the gourmet Mediterranean eatery owner of Aladdin Mediterranean Restaurant, Hamdi Abukhalaf,  is planning to open in Seaport Village.

The San Diego Union-Tribune recently reported the full-service restaurant will be located along the boardwalk, west of the shopping center, and will feature an outdoor, wrap-around patio with views of San Diego Bay.

If you haven’t heard of Aladdin Mediterranean Restaurant on Clairemont Mesa Blvd in San Diego, it’s something you’ll want to check out. The eatery’s menu focuses on “plenty of healthy, scrumptious salads, vegetarian meals with Mediterranean flavors, [and] melt-in-your-mouth shish kabobs” along with sides like hummus, tabouleh, falafel, and stuffed grape leaves.

Aladdin Mediterranean Restaurant has been in business for 28 years, and the expansion to Seaport Village is sure to be well worth the wait.

We were unable to contact Abukhalaf at the time of publication, so we can’t currently provide an opening date. Seaport Village’s directory merely notes the new restaurant is “coming soon” to lot 74, between Edgewater Gill and Mr. Moto Pizza House. Looks like it will be in good company!
