Where is Sacramento’s best coffee shop? Most coffee lovers will point you toward Elk Grove, where 18 Grams Coffe Roasters calls home. But that will soon change as 18 Grams has announced plans for a new location in Sacramento on S. Street.

Danny Chuong and Justine Lee started 18 Grams in Elk Grove in 2017 and added a second location in Howe ‘Bout Arden shopping center in 2019. Since its opening, 18 Grams has won over the local communities and was voted Sacramento’s best coffee shop in a poll by the Sacramento Bee in 2021.

The new 18 Grams Coffee & Tea will be located at 1725 S. St, on the corner of S. and 18th., next door to ARY Place Apartments. The new location will continue to serve a wide variety of beverages, including Vietnamese and Thai coffee, turmeric tea lattes, and 18 Grams’ iconic four-shot shaken espresso, “18 to the Brain.”

The new location is currently going through the permitting process, and no detailed opening date has been announced. By the time of this coverage, the owners did not respond to What Now Sacramento’s request for comments.
