After over 25 years at their cozy spot on Fay Avenue in La Jolla, the breakfast and brunch restaurant The Cottage has found a home for a second location. Mike Spilky and his team from Location Matters share the news that The Cottage will take over a 3,500 square foot space formerly occupied by Native Foods Cafe in Encinitas Village

The neighborhood hangout in La Jolla will remain a staple of the community as The Cottage brings the same charm to a new area.

“Encinitas Village has recently gone through a major revamp and a strong breakfast/lunch operator is just what the center needed,” affirms the press release by Location Matters.

The Cottage serves up American and Southern Californian specialties like the Lemon Ricotta Pancakes, plus egg scrambles, Omelettes, Benedicts, and a loaded up avocado toast called the Avocado Smash. Lunch favorites include the Crabcake Melt Sandwich and their Cottage Fish Tacos.

What Now San Diego spoke to Owner Jason Peaslee who says if all goes as planned, the new spot should open by February 2022. Stay updated by vising The Cottage on Facebook.
